About James “Rip” Rainey
James Rainey, nicknamed “Rip,” is a property manager and developer with years of experience in the real estate sector. He has been a partner for Titus Real Estate Services since 2005. He is also an experienced public speaker, a business consultant, and a professional coach, as well as a family man and an active member of his community.
In his role as a partner for Titus Real Estate Services, James “Rip” Rainey oversees the day-to-day operations of multiple mobile home parks and privately-owned apartments in the Raleigh area. As part-owner and manager of the company, Rip finds, negotiates, and develops housing opportunities while managing a team of employees who service the rental properties. He also oversees property advertisements and showings, takes applications, runs background checks, executes contracts, and collects monies. He is currently in charge of over 60 individual properties.
James “Rip” Rainey earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina. He graduated with a B.S. in mechanical engineering before earning his MBA from Morehead State University. In addition to his degrees, Rip also holds numerous certifications, including a certification as a Christian leadership coach and a registered investment advisor. He is also certified in “Power Selling” and “Effective Negotiating.”
James “Rip” Rainey has played many successful roles in his professional career. He spent time working as a nuclear engineer and developing systems to transport radioactive waste safely. He has also been a leading sales representative at Fisher Tank Company, a Regional Accounts Manager for the TAMCO Corporation, an independent investment advisor and insurance agent, and a formally trained business coach.
As a professional coach, James “Rip” Rainey works to help individuals and businesses achieve their goals and overcome obstacles. In 2005, Rip published the book, Truth and Money: Fresh Thinking on Money Management and Personal Finances, to help people set and achieve their longterm financial goals. He has also been an instructor for Wake Technical Community College, as well as a public speaker. Rip speaks at various events on the subjects of leadership, negotiations, and making the most out of life. He was recently nominated by the National Speakers Association for his years of public speaking training.
In his personal life, James “Rip” Rainey is a husband of 25 years and a father to two teenage boys. He is the head tennis and basketball coach at his children’s school, Wake Christian Academy. He also spends a significant amount of time serving his community. He volunteers as an audio technician and assists with various residential planning projects. He also travels twice a year to Rancho 3M, a Christian orphanage and school located in Mexico. During these semi-annual trips, Mr. Rainey assists with clean water projects as well as numerous needs of basic living to this unserved group of almost 100 people.
Rip has always been self-motivated and determined to succeed in every area of life. He is dedicated to his own development and growth as he strives to help those around him get the most out of life, including those who are less fortunate.
